Beginning a New Year!

Wow! 2011 is here, and I can't believe my baby just turned 9 yrs old.  Four kiddos later, I would have never guessed it.  Seems as though time is truly flying by, or even sometimes seems to not have even ever happened.  We were just looking at some videos of Carrington when she was just over a year old, and it brought tears to my eyes to realize that pretty soon, she will be reading like Calee, wanting to ride a four-wheeler like her older brother, or doing her own thing.  My friend Brie's death has really caused me to understand that we just can't take life for granted.  We truly should see each day as our last, because it very well could be. With everything we learned throughout Coy's health issue, and now with Brie, my life and especially the lives of my loved ones are so much more precious to me.  Here is a picture of Coy that I took in the hospital.  It looks like he is smiling, but it's only because he is so swollen from IV fluids.  It's a picture that reminds me to be grateful, and remember that life can change in an instant.  Happy New Year!

Ok...how hard can this be?

So, I am trying to become a blogger.  My friend Brie, who recently passed and went to be with the Lord, has inspired me.  No, I don't think I have the time, and no, I'm not a good writer, but I love the memories she has put down, never to be forgotten by anyone, especially her children.  With Cooper about to be 9, Calee getting close to 6, Carrington close to 3 (Oh my GOSH!), and my baby already 3 1/2 months, it's about time I start recording some of these memories.  My children are incredible little people, and lots of times in the midst of business, I forget to let them know that.  Hopefully, writing it down will help me to remember to be more mindful of how much I love them and Ben.  Guess we will see!
